Day 1: Casablanca – Transfer from airport to lodging

Pick up at the Casablanca airport and transfer from the airport to the lodging.

Day 2: Casablanca – Essaouira

After breakfast, we leave from Casablanca to Essaouira, a port city on the Atlantic coast, called Amogdul (the well guarded one) in the Berber language, probably because it is so well protected thanks to its long walls.

Essaouira has that exotic and at the same time familiar air, accompanied by the incessant squawks of the seagulls that fly over the city. At first it might seem that you are in a city in French Brittany, however, once you pass its walls it is an infinitely Moroccan city.

Essaouira is known for its medina declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it is also known for its artists who work the Tuya (tree that produces good wood), the money souk.

Day 3: Essaouira – Marrakech

Today we wake up with farewell to Essaouira on the way to Marrakech, it is an ancient imperial city in western Morocco and an important economic center with mosques, palaces and gardens. The medina is a densely populated, walled medieval city dating back to the period of the Berber Empire, with maze-like passages and lively souks (markets) selling traditional ceramics, jewelry, and textiles.

Day 4: Visit Marrakech with a local guide

Today is a special day for the red city Marrakech, with a local guide to put into practice the art of haggling through the souks and discovering the most remote places of the medina.

Day 5: Marrakech – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Return to Marrakech

After breakfast, we leave from Marrakech to the Ouzoud Waterfalls, they are the most impressive waterfalls in North Africa. The landscape and the freshness that you breathe make the trip worthwhile, it is located about 170 km from Marrakech to the northeast of the city.

The most famous waterfalls in Morocco are well worth the 150-kilometer journey from Marrakech. After the town of Ouzoud and its numerous bars, the descent begins following a path in good condition and dotted with olive trees, before reaching the foot of the waterfalls and with an approximate height of 110 meters, its waters fall bouncing off the steps, projecting fine droplets that form a permanent rainbow. Here you can indulge in the pleasures of the bath, observing the courtship of the Rhesus Macaques (Atlas monkeys). On this visit you can enjoy the local flora and fauna (it is common to find small monkeys) and eat in beautiful beach bars with views of the waterfalls.

Free time to enjoy the place and in the afternoon return to Marrakech.

Day 6: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura Oasis – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley

We start our day crossing the high atlas, crossing the port of Tichka at 2260 meters high, making panoramic stops to contemplate the wonderful landscapes and take pictures, since it is one of the most impressive routes in Morocco, where we will begin to observe the first adobe villages of the Berbers on the slopes of the mountains with a stop at the argan oil cooperative, where we will discover the process of realization and they will explain the innumerable benefits it has for the human body.

Let’s get to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and in this spectacular setting renowned films such as Gladiator, The Jewel of the Nile or Sahara (with Penélope Cruz) have been shot also famous for being one of the best ksours and kasbahs in Morocco. Free time to walk through the kasbah and climb to its summit to contemplate its view.

After passing the city of Ouarzazate, the so-called “gate of the desert”, we will continue through the Skoura palm grove and the Valley of the Roses until we reach the Dades Valley.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we start our adventure through the Dades Valley, famous for its spectacular landscapes and the hospitality of its inhabitants. After a journey we will arrive at Tinghir, where the spectacular Todra Gorges are found. The Todra riverbed has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty; It is a climber’s paradise and a unique place, perched at 1,360 meters of altitude. Free time to explore and wander.

Continuation to Erfoud, the gateway to the desert and from there we reach the Merzouga desert where we relax at the hotel in front and walk to the dunes.

Day 8: Merzouga – Khamlia – Mifis – Visit to nomadic Berber families – Excursion in dromedaries – Magical night in Berber camp

This will be a day full of adventures in which we will get to know a different Morocco! We are going to discover the Khamlia people this desert town is known for Gnawa music, most of its inhabitants are originally from Mali and Sudan, arrived in the days of slavery. There we can attend a small concert of Gnawa music.

Then we arrive at Mifis, an old and abandoned town since the colonization, a place known and famous for the mines and Khol (used with pencils to make up the eyes). Then we will take the path to the nomadic family to have glasses of tea and to see settlements and learn about their secrets and customs.

In the afternoon we will depart in a caravan of dromedaries that will take us to the camp (Haimas) in a journey of one hour. We will make a stop halfway to watch the sunset over the dunes and stretch our legs a bit before continuing to camp. Once there, we will have a hospitality tea and we will have the opportunity to climb the great dune or the small dunes that are near the campsite.

Typical dinner and then a special party to the rhythm of Berber drums.

Day 9: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Middle Atlas – Cedar and monkey forests – Ifrane – Fez

Before breakfast, get up early to see the sunrise and without losing the opportunity to see a sunrise that in few places is enjoyed like that. After breakfast, we will say goodbye to the desert and return with the dromedaries to the place where our transport awaits us to take the route to Fez passing through the Ziz Valley, crossing the Middle Atlas mountains, we will reach the cedar forests where the macaques live in Liberty.

Once past the city of Ifrane, better known for the “Moroccan Switzerland”. We will arrive in Fez, transfer to the hotel or riad.

Day 11: Fez – Meknes – Volubilis Ruins – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we will go to Meknes. It is the most modest of the four Imperial Cities of Morocco and its first inhabitants were the Meknasíes, a Berber tribe that gave the city its name. They settled in the 10th century and little by little they were expanding the medina.

Continuation to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis to explore the 2000 year old ruins and get a picture of life during the Roman Empire.

Then to Chefchaouen, the blue town.

Day 12: Free day to explore the blue town Chefchaouen

Day 13: Chefchaouen – Rabat

After breakfast, we leave from Chefchaouen in the direction of Rabat. The capital of Morocco, with just over a million inhabitants. Modern and even reserved according to Moroccan customs.

It is located next to the Bou Regreg River and the Atlantic Ocean. It is famous for the monuments that reflect its Islamic and French colonial legacy. Such as the Alcazaba de los Udayas. This Berber royal fort is surrounded by French gardens and offers views of the sea.

Day 14: Rabat – Casablanca

After breakfast we went to visit Rabat with the first visit to Torre Hassan is the minaret of an unfinished mosque in Rabat, this place is one of the most striking and representative symbols of this city, both for its height and for what it represents.
