Day 1: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

Pick up at the airport or port of Tangier to start the first day of your tour in Morocco with us.

Prepare to be amazed!

Beginning of the tour with a first stop in Tetouan, sometimes known by the nickname of “the white dove”.

Then towards the blue town Chefchaouen, it is a city located in the Rif mountains, in the northwest of Morocco. It is known for the spectacular blue buildings of different shades in its old town, as well as for its cobbled and sloping streets, full of looms and leather goods.

Free time to stroll at your own pace through its pleasant medina and to explore its streets and markets of Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fez

After breakfast, we will head to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis to explore the 2000 year old ruins and get a picture of life during the Roman Empire.

Then we continue to Meknes, it is the most modest of the four Imperial Cities of Morocco and its first inhabitants were the Meknasíes, a Berber tribe that gave the city its name. They settled in the 10th century and little by little they were expanding the medina.

Continuation to Fez, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco.

Day 3: Visit Fez with a local guide

Free day with a local guide to practice the art of haggling in the souks and discover the most remote places of the medina.

Day 4: Fez – Ifrane – Middle Atlas Mountains – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

Today we will start the journey to the desert through the university city of Ifrane, better known as the «Moroccan Switzerland», and because it is one of the favorite cities of the King of Morocco along with the Atlas landscapes until we reach the Ziz Valley, an extensive palm grove.

Continuation to Erfoud, the gateway to the desert and from there we reach the Merzouga desert where we relax at the hotel in front and walk to the dunes.

Tonight will undoubtedly be quiet and peaceful!

Day 5: Merzouga – Khamlia – Mifis – Visit to nomadic Berber families – Excursion in dromedaries – Magical night in Berber camp

This will be a day full of adventures in which we will get to know a different Morocco! We are going to discover the Khamlia people this desert town is known for Gnawa music, most of its inhabitants are originally from Mali and Sudan, arrived in the days of slavery. There we can attend a small concert of Gnawa music.

Then we arrive at Mifis, an old and abandoned town since colonization, a place known and famous for the mines and Khol (used with pencils to make up the eyes). Then we will take the path to the nomadic family to have glasses of tea and to see settlements and learn about their secrets and customs.

In the afternoon we will depart in a caravan of dromedaries that will take us to the camp (Haimas) in a journey of one hour. We will make a stop halfway to watch the sunset over the dunes and stretch our legs a bit before continuing to camp. Once there, we will have a hospitality tea and we will have the opportunity to climb the great dune or the small dunes that are near the campsite.

Typical dinner and then a special party to the rhythm of Berber drums.

Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Before breakfast, get up early to see the sunrise and without losing the opportunity to see a sunrise that in few places is enjoyed like that. After breakfast, we will say goodbye to the desert and return with the dromedaries to the place where our transport awaits us to take the route to Dades Valley, we will go to Rissani, one of the oldest markets in Morocco and it is the old commercial capital of the country. If time allows us and if it is market day we can make a stop to witness the local commercial exchanges.

After a journey we will arrive at Tinghir, where the spectacular Todra Gorges are found. The Todra riverbed has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty; It is a climber’s paradise and a unique place, perched at 1,360 meters of altitude. Free time to explore and wander.

Continuation to Dades Valley for a well-deserved rest.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Boutaghrar – Roses Valley – Skoura Oasis – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will take our way to Ouarzazate along the road of a thousand Kasbahs, huge kasbahs on both sides of the road. Some of these kasbahs are old fortified houses that have been restored, but unfortunately many of them are still ruins.

Continuation to the mountainous area called Boutaghrar through an off-road track, our rest will be with a nomad family to have a cup of tea in their refuge, we will have the opportunity to visit one of these families and take a look at their daily life and its main activities that took care of the herds of goats and sheep.

Then we continue to Oasis de Skoura, an extensive palm grove until we reach Ouarzazate for a well-deserved rest.

Day 8: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, we leave Ouarzazate towards Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and in this spectacular setting renowned films such as Gladiator, The Jewel of the Nile or Sahara (with Penelope Cruz) have been shot also famous for being one of the best ksours and kasbahs in Morocco. Free time to walk through the kasbah and climb to its summit to contemplate its view.

We will cross the High Atlas mountains again with their wonderful landscapes until we arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.

Day 9: Visit Marrakech with a local guide

Day 10: Marrakech – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Return to Marrakech

After breakfast, we leave from Marrakech to the Ouzoud Waterfalls, they are the most impressive waterfalls in North Africa. The landscape and the freshness that you breathe make the trip worthwhile, it is located about 170 km from Marrakech to the northeast of the city.

The most famous waterfalls in Morocco are well worth the 150-kilometer journey from Marrakech. After the town of Ouzoud and its numerous bars. The descent begins following a path in good condition and dotted with olive trees, before reaching the foot of the waterfalls and with an approximate height of 110 meters, its waters fall bouncing off the steps, projecting fine droplets that form a permanent rainbow. Here you can indulge in the pleasures of the bath, observing the courtship of the Rhesus Macaques (Atlas monkeys). Day 11: Marrakech – Ourika Valley – Return to Marrakech

After breakfast, we leave from Marrakech in the direction of Ourika Valley, located in the heart of the Berber country, the Ourika Valley remains one of the most beautiful and best preserved valleys in Morocco.

On this excursion from Marrakech to the atlas you can visit the souk of the nearby Berbers in the area: on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and if you wish (optionally) you can stop at a Berber house, which opens the door for you and you invites you to see how to prepare traditional bread and have a Moroccan tea.

Upon arrival at our destination, there will be free time to explore the area, stroll through the valley, taste the delicious dishes of the traditional restaurants or venture on a short journey to the Setti Fatma waterfalls.

Free time to enjoy the place and in the afternoon return to Marrakech.

12: Marrakech – Essaouira

After breakfast, we leave from Marrakech to Essaouira, a port city on the Atlantic coast, called Amogdul (the well guarded one) in the Berber language, probably because it is so well protected thanks to its long walls.

Essaouira has that exotic and at the same time familiar air. Accompanied by the incessant squawks of the seagulls that fly over the city. At first it may seem that you are in a city in French Brittany, however. Once you pass its walls it is an infinitely Moroccan city.

Essaouira is known for its medina declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it is also known for its artists who work the Tuya (tree that produces good wood), the money souk.

Day 13: Essaouira – Casablanca

After breakfast we leave Essaouira in the direction of Casablanca, it is an attractive romantic destination on the coast of Morocco. Although today it is a large and modern city. Many movie scenes are still recreated for those who want to relive the romance.

We arrived in Casablanca with the visit to the Hassan II Mosque. It is truly unique in its architecture and dimensions. With its minaret that rises to 200 m high and has a laser with a range of 30 km heading towards Mecca. It is seen as the tallest religious building in the world. The idea of building a great mosque in Casablanca reflects the royal will to provide the metropolis of Casablanca. With a great spiritual monument and of Moroccan civilization. Ensuring a harmonious urban development and allowing to increase its radiance based on faith, piety and tolerance.

Day 14: Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah

After breakfast, we left for Rabat with our first visit to Torre Hassan, the minaret of an unfinished mosque in Rabat, this place is one of the most striking and representative symbols of this city, both for its height and for what it represents. The Almohad Sultan Yaqub al-Mansur (12th century) planned to build the largest mosque in the world after Samarra in Iraq. The works were abandoned after his death in 1199.

After the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, it is a royal tomb. Located on the esplanade of the Hassan Tower, near the end of the Bou Regreg river. The mausoleum houses the tomb of King Mohamed V, and his sons Hasan II and Mulay Abdellah. It was built between 1961 and 1971, 10 years of work in which more than 400 Moroccan artists collaborated.

Continuation to Asilah, it was when in 1471 the Portuguese sent a large naval fleet to occupy Asilah. Where they built the current walled enclosure that you will see on the seashore.

Day 15: Asilah – Tangier – Transfer to the airport or port and end of the trip
